Gyotakus like these, create meaningful and lasting memories, connection between people who would have otherwise never met, and has provided a platform for cultural exposure and information exchange.
Thanks to the social media networks, Brooke & I connected over the thousands of Horseshoe Crabs that had been washing up into their canal in Ocean City Maryland, thanks to a variety of natural conditions not limited to the wind and tides.
Brooke invited Marie & me to come visit the situation and do some Gyotakus. We painted and pressed a small batch right there on her deck with the sunset painting the background with a favorable wind and tide pushing the dead Horseshoe Crabs back out into the bay. One of these is going back to Brooke for being a most welcoming and generous host!
