I caught this Redfish from my kayak around Wenona, Maryland. It was a quick evening post work paddle and I wasn’t expecting or really hoping to catch much more than a pretty sunset and some peace and quiet. I happened to be at the right place, at the right tide, throwing the right lure and I remember feeling that thud when it bit the lure, and then feeling a TUG, TUG, then immediately hearing the drag on my reel scream. When I got it towards the surface and saw flashes of gold & bronze my adrenaline pumped so hard I could feel my heartbeat in my ears I was so excited. This is one of my favorite all time fishing memories and I’m glad I was able to turn it into a memory that will last forever!
